Start the presses! The Writers Club returns. Writing is the cornerstone of your child's success in school and throughout life. The Writers Club is designed to deepen your child's understanding of the elements and traits of effective writing and to explicitly show how to incorporate them
in their own writing. We will build your child's writing skills by practicing the four steps in the writing process and reviewing organization, voice, sentence fluency, and punctuation. Each student will create his or her own book, which will be put in a hardcover edition. The last session will be a celebration of the students' work with juice and cookies, with parents and friends invited to hear the children read their books. |
