Students design and program interactive robots using LEGO's Mindstorm NXT equipment.
The workshops provide a unique opportunity for kids to utilize creative processes while learning new skills in problem solving, cooperative learning and critical thinking. Students will be provided laptops for learning programming concepts as well as creating their own programs for solving specific problems and missions. Working in teams, students will be taught foundational building concepts, how to test the functionality of their models, problem-solve, etc. Students won’t take creations home, but families are invited to the final class to see a presentation of final projects.
